Free LED solar lamps for govt. school students

Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has decided to distribute LED solar lamps among students starting from December month. The expenditure of distributing solar lamps will be borne completely by the state government and for that an amount of $4.8 million has been sanctioned in financial year 2015-16. The project will benefit as many as of 320,000 students which include 237,500 of class X in government schools, 60,900 students of KGBVs and 21,600 students of SC/ST/OBC hostels.
