India’s Jharkhand to tender 1.2GW solar

Jharkhand, one of India’s largest coal producing states has made an announcement of a new tender for 1.2 GW of solar capacity under its state policy. Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) plans to set up 200 MW of projects with a maximum capacity of 25 MW each wherein developers will be allotted 13 months of time to commission the plant from the date of signing the PPA and for another 1 GW projects, developers will be allotted 18 months to commission the plants. JREDA will hold pre-bid meeting on 15 December and technical bids will open on 12 January 2016.
