Joint venture to set up solar park in Kasaragod, Kerala

The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) will enter into a partnership with the Solar Engineering Corporation of India to establish a new joint venture company called ‘Renewable Energy Corporation of Kerala’ in order to set up a 200 MW solar park in Kasaragod. Out of the targeted 200 MW half the capacity is to be developed by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency and the Tehri Hydroelectric Development Corporation India Limited while the remaining 100 MW project would be implemented by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) under the viability gap funding (VGF) scheme.
