MSEDCL’s solar roof top policy

State-run power discom MSEDCL has released its solar roof top policy, facilitating its consumers to use solar panels to meet their daily power requirements. Under the policy, any consumer in MSEDCL’s area who intends to install a solar photovoltaic (PV) system less than 1 MW will be eligible for getting connectivity of solar panels with MSEDCL’s network. The policy also includes certain conditions for receiving connection with MSEDCL network, clarifying that the cumulative capacity of all the solar panels connected to a particular distribution transformer should not exceed 40 per cent of its capacity.
