West Bengal eyes govt funds for 1 GW solar storage project

The Indian state of West Bengal seeks the National Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) to fund 40 per cent of its 1 GW solar storage project. The state power minister Manish Gupta stated that the total cost of the solar power station is estimated at $921 million and constructing the Turga pumped storage system in Purulia district will require an investment of about $1.7 billion.
